The Walnut Tree in Maidstone was a beautiful little pub that looked like a place not at all suited for comedy, filled with an audience that didn´t look like they were gonna like me at all. On top of that i was booked to do 40 minutes and pretty nervous about that from start.
As soon as I hit the stage, all my fears vanished as the crowd was almost as warm as the room. I was dripping of sweat and had a great fucking time. They did not like my stuff about the british forces in Afghanistan, but other than that, they took it all. It was a real surprise, I must say. Great crowd, great room. Would love to go back there.
